TAKING CARE OF LOVED ONES FROM ANYWHERE
The Juniper team approached Good Bones with a problem: it is too difficult to hire and manage services for loved ones when you can't be there. We all could face the challenge of caring for aging parents from miles away and using a plethora of apps and sites quickly becomes unwieldy. Juniper is a platform that brings all of these essential services under one roof. Whether it be ride sharing, house cleaning, or just a hot meal, Juniper let's your entire family search, book, and manage these services with an intuitive interface that even the most technically challenged can navigate.
Our job was two fold: first, to craft a brand that promoted both the technical and personal aspects of the company - and two, develop an MVP prototype to be used for investor presentations. While the Juniper team had the dream to solve this problem, they needed a product to make it happen. We spent months in team meetings, wireframing, and prototyping to develop a Juniper desktop platform that holistically solves the problem of managing services for others.
A BOLD & SENSITIVE BRAND
Our time with the Juniper team was spent getting to know their stories. It was important for them that we understand the challenge of caring for loved ones and observe the sensitivity that the subject deserves. This month's long process involved many open and frank discussions on what Juniper can and should be. Much of our branding exerices was based on landing a 'tone' that communicated both empathy to users as well as innovation to investors. In addition to crafting a logo mark, we spent a great amount of time researching photography, color palates, typography, legibility, and copy writing.
We took our research and created branded deliverables that the Juniper team would then take to conferences and investor meetings to raise funds and pitch the project.
UNIVERSAL DASHBOARD DESIGN
In addition to the front-facing web pages, we also designed a holistic prototype that takes you through every step of Juniper's user experience. The dashboard became an important bit of functionality to nail down. So many people of all different ages, backgrounds, and technical savviness would be using this interface and we wanted to demonstrate how clear and personable a dashboard could be.
SCALABLE QUOTING SYSTEM
We developed an intuitive quoting system and vendor interaction interface. Through our development discussions, we guided the Juniper team to use existing service providers instead of establishing their own service network - one that would prove costly and immediately unscalable.
LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED
We made sure that every feature of the Juniper platform, from the innovative to the mundane, had been adequately designed and thought through. Technology is a tough sell as a solution to aging population issues, so it was important that we demonstrate a UI and UX that was not only easy to use, but superior to what any other service provider can offer
